Heard something really interesting from my friend in school today. He was telling me about life at Yale University and their SECRET SOCIETIES!

It seems that Universities like Yale have secret societies, where members pledge blind allegiance to each other. Singaporeans have definitely heard of local gangs like “369” or “Ang Soon Tong”, but it seems that Yale has societies that involve the “Upper Class” in society.
Members of this society involve famous people like George Bush, George W. Bush, 2004 Presidential Opponent – Senator John Kerry and Harold Stanley (Co-founder of Morgan Stanley).

The best thing about the society is that once you graduate, society members will help each other get a job, and their objective is to help each other reach the upper echelons of society.
My contact in school, told me that his friend from Yale, was even given the phone number of the Vice President of the United States, The number would serve as a help-line for her, when she graduates from the University. So if she can’t find a job, she could give the Vice President a call!
This fraternity definitely puts the Premier Institutions like ACS and Raffles Institution to shame…
How do you join Skulls and Bones?
Each year only 15 junior students from Yale University are chosen or “tapped” to join the society. Skull and Bones traditionally "tapped" those that it viewed as campus leaders and other notable figures for its membership. So, if you are a “nobody” in campus, do not even think about joining them!

I may be a little late in doing this… but we’re still in January, and Chinese New Year is coming! So here goes…
It has been a great 2010 and even as we enter the New Year, that are so many things to be appreciate about!
Besides having all you readers out there, another important group of people is my spiritual family!
Just wanted to take this time to tell all my friends and family that the last 10 years has really been a really great adventure and I have been loving every minute of it! Many Thanks to everyone for sharing your life with me and for allowing me to be part of yours! It’s truly been an awesome privilege and a great honour!
I am really looking forward to the next chapter, and facing new challenges together with you!
Many thanks to Kim for helping us with the Video, and she has been a real “gem” in the creative department for us!
Hope you guys like the video!

Today was a Great day for our Little Nadine, as it was time for her to celebrate her birthday!

This was the very 1st time that we were throwing her a party, and we had the celebrations at the office nursery.

Besides the food that we bought from Old Airport Road, all of Nadine’s favourite people were there.

We bought a birthday cake from our favourite cake shop Pat’s Pastry.

Mei Mei was actually quite shocked at the sudden attention focused on her. In fact, she froze when it was time to sing the birthday song, and even more importantly when it was time to blow the candles.

However, Nicole and Nathan did not freeze up at all, and they were all ready to “step up” when it was time to blow out the candles!

Mummy says it looks like Nathan’s Birthday, instead of Nadine’s.
With so many candles, the other kids could not resist getting into the act as well!

Here’s the whole family in the picture:

Many thanks once again to the Mummies and children who came to the party.
PS: Nadine loves the presents and she was happily opening them in the morning! (Actually, she opened the left over wrapper due to the much enthusiastic help from her siblings).

It is my favourite time of the year again, and tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Yipee!!!
We have been busy shopping for relatives and friends, and the shops are getting really crowded as everybody is doing their last minute shopping.
The kids have also been getting into the mood, as we have been playing Xmas Carols in the car. Have you ever realized that this is the only time of the year, where you need to check your CD cabinet, and pull out those old dusty Xmas CDs.
The older kids have also been enjoying this A Capella Group called “Straight No Chaser”. They were made popular due to Youtube, and they have been entertaining us since their first Xmas album. Check out their famous YouTube Hit here. (It has more than 10 million hits!
They just launched another Holiday album for 2009, and the songs are proving to be really catchy as well! Check out one of their holiday selections here:
The song is really fun and catchy!!!
This other video gives a good background of the History of Straight No Chaser
If u like their songs, you can also find their albums at HMV!
But most importantly, you got to make this holiday season extra special for yourself and your family.
Join us at the Singapore Expo or at Jurong West St 91, to experience the magic of Christmas.
In my honest opinion, I think City Harvest Church puts up great dramas and I believe that you will definitely enjoy this one! Do come down and join us this Xmas!

One program that I follow on the internet is 60 minutes.
It is an American News Documentary which highlight interesting happenings around the States and the world.
Recently, they featured a “black” school in Harlem and the merits of it’s education system. The place is called the “Harlem’s Children Zone”
I found it inspiring!
It shows how one man can make a difference, and it also shows the power of nurturing a young child. It is amazing how a little care and attention goes a long way!
Take a little time off and watch the video below…I am sure that you will enjoy it!
