Recently, I stumbled upon some commercials produced locally.
Nuffnang together with Pringles Potato Chips had a Contest to assist Pringles in advertising their potato chips. Btw, Nicole has her views on her favourite food as well…u can check out her video here!
I took a look at one of the entries for the contest, and I was impressed by their creativity!
Bearing in mind that we are nowhere near Hollywood standards, but considering the fact that the producers of this commercial look like students – I think they guys did a very good job.
The results are not out yet, but I think this commercial gets my vote!

I saw a really scary video today.
CNN reported this incident in Melbourne Australia, where a lady had her baby fall onto the train tracks, right in front of an approaching train!
Well, it seems that the brakes on the pram were not engaged, and this therefore created the problem of the stroller rolling off the platform.
Thankfully, the baby survived!
I thought this video was really alarming, considering the fact that Singapore has recently seen an increase in the number of people falling or “jumping” onto the tracks.
After watching the video, I don’t really know what I would have done I was there, or worse….If I was the parent.
Who would have thought that….just one moment of adjusting your pants, would have such consequences! This is just one those “freak” accidents where a moment of carelessness will change your life forever.
I guess its true – “Details do determine your destiny!”

City Harvest’s ETzone gathered for it’s Inaugural Adult Christian Retreat at the Mercure Hotel in JB last week.

We left after attending the Saturday 330pm service at City Harvest Church, and from there, we made our way across the causeway via the 2nd link.
As many of us are 1st generation Christians, this was going to be our 1st Christian Retreat! We were excited and yet ready to meet God and make many new friends.
To facilitate the event, we played a lot of team building games, so that we can get to know each other better.
Team building games would not be complete if we did not go outdoors…and we had Tele-matches and Water Bombs in the outdoor field as well.

And what Christian Retreat would be complete, unless there is the preaching of God’s word and ministry time as well. God showed up for us, and this made the Christian Retreat very memorable.
We had a tremendous time, and all of us enjoyed the retreat.
We made many new friends and many of us met God!
As we packed our bags, many of us were already talking about the next retreat in 2010.

Check out the photo montage I made of the event as well! Hope you guys like it! (Do wait a while for the video to load, as Vimeo is getting slow…)
Parenting Advice:
What made the trip enjoyable for the parents was that we arranged for help to look after the kids. Without them around, we would not have the liberty to participate in the events. A big thumbs up to the Children’s Church helpers!

After having 3 Children – I can tell u that everyone of them is different!
Each one of them has their own special qualities and attributes.
Nadine is of no exception!
She seems to be the most timid of the 3 – and would be the most wary and afraid whenever we put her into a new environment.
Whenever we carry her, she will always be clinging on to our shirts for dear life – as she is afraid of heights!
Recently, she has also started taking her first few steps, and we are looking forward to another little one running around the house very soon…
In comparison…Nathan walked the fastest! Boys seem to have no problem when it comes to physical coordination…but till today, he lags behind Nicole in terms of speech development.
I think Nadine will speak as fast as Nicole, as she seems more inclined in this area as well!
BTW, If u are asking if No 4 is coming soon…the answer is NOT at the moment! The 3 of them are a real handful, and we need to give them time to grow up!
But the kids are always fun to have around – and Daddy and Mummy really miss them, when we don’t get to see them as often as we like!

One of the 1st seeds planted into my life was sown by a Blue Bible called Psalty!
When I was in Upper Primary, my brother brought home one of these records and started playing it on the stereo.
I was intrigued!
The “catchy” storylines and light warm hearted music really drew me towards the gospel, and this “brush” with the gospel made a lasting impression in my life.
As a father, I have brought the same series home for the children, and they love the music as well!
Although they don’t make any new additions to the Kids Praise series – you can still buy the CDs off Amazon, and I am pretty sure that you will love the “catchy” tunes too!
Currently, the kids are listening to the City Harvest church album and they seem to be thoroughly enjoying the songs.
Check out the kids Praising and Worshipping God in these short Videos:
The kids were a real riot, as they lifted their hands and kicked their legs when they worshipped God!
