Jan and Elly

There are so many children’s enrichment classes in the market today, that everyone is asking the same question…“Are they any good?”

Well, everyone has has different experiences with the many schools out there, but Nadine seems to love the Phonics Intermediate classes at Jan & Elly. Every Tuesday, she will troop off happily with Mummy to attend classes. It has become somewhat of a treat to her. One obvious reason is because she’s the only one out on a school night, while her two older siblings are at home doing homework. And another reason is simply, this has become one of her favourite classes!

At Jan & Elly, she learns how to read. But more importantly, she learns to take ownership of what she has learnt. After she class, she’s able to tell us what she learnt, which new sound she can recognise and list out all the associate words.

You may think, that’s quite common, that’s what every enrichment class should be like! But no. You see, Nadine doesn’t usually narrate much or explains what happens. For her to be so excited about class, and for something that is so academic, it is truly most remarkable.

As a parent, it brings me great joy to see my girl enjoying the classes, and ultimately learning to love reading. Since reading is something universal, I was really very happy that Jan & Elly captured her attention! It has been so hard to find a school that she likes and enjoys! I believe that teachers always make the difference, and the teachers at Jan & Elly, seem to a big motivating factor for her reading!
