Hong Kong Disneyland (Part 2)
And if you trying to guess which is Mummy’s scariest ride…it is this…
Toy Soldier Parachute Drop is not just a ride that gives you a feeling of weightlessness, but amazingly, it is also a ride that is safe for the whole family!
As Daddy went for RC Racer, Mummy had to accompany the kids for the Parachute Drop. Truth to be told – Daddy did not really like the feeling of weightlessness (As Daddy tried the ride earlier in the day), and Mummy had to grit her teeth as she went with the kids for the ride.
Nathan and Daddy were of course, by the side lines, cheering on our brave girls!
4yo Nadine loves the ride, and she is definitely one who is not afraid of heights!
To top off the day at Toy Story Land, the kids also managed to get a picture with the characters of Toy Story.
We brought the kids to “Tomorrowland” next, and the kids got to experience the high speed roller-coaster called “Space Mountain”.
The kids were keen to do it, as they have been studying about the planets in school. Although most of the ride happens in the dark, the speed of the roller-coaster makes you scream your head off. Nicole was lost for words when she came out!
There is also never a dull moment at Disneyland, as even when we were sitting around and drinking our sodas, we were entertained by buskers.
The experience at Disneyland is simply magical. To add to the magic, your stay at Disneyland will not be complete, unless you stay at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
As it was peak period during our stay, we only managed to get rooms at the Disney’s Hollywood Hotel.
The kids loved the room, as there were kid’s bedroom slippers for them to walk around in!
For most of our meals, we dined at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Disney Hotels save no expense in adding to the magical experience for the kids, as even the food reminds one of our magical friends!
On the first day, we had our lunch at “Crystal Lotus”. To get the kids warmed up, everything is served in Disney Cutlery.
Check out these Mickey’s Seafood Glutinous Pancakes.
Little Pig Barbecue Pork Buns that are really shaped like Pork Buns!
Little Green Men Pork and Vegetable Buns were shaped liked the Aliens from Toy Factory
Double Boiled Conpoy and Chicken Soup in Little Coconut – in other words, this was soup that had stuff which looked like Mickey Mouse!
One of the Big plus points of staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, is that you get to have a have a special breakfast with your favourite Disney characters.
Check out the Disney-themed waffles which made eating breakfast with the kids much easier!
Eating Breakfast at the hotel was even more pleasurable, as the Disney characters came around to take pictures with all the families.
I have never seen the kids so excited about breakfast before, and the morning breakfast is a certain “Must Do” for all families who visit Disneyland.
The girls were also be thrilled to know that there is a Princess Room, where you can be dolled up to look like a Princess! This is a dream come true for every little girl, and my girls were definitely envious of their little friends! This is a very popular activity, so do book in advance if you want your little girl to get dolled up as well
The Disney Hotel also has a Princess “Meet-and-Greet” session, right in their Hotel Lobby. This is an awesome plus for any family, as it means that you get to avoid the crowds at the park. Nicole was an obvious fan of Cinderella, as she had “face-time” with the beautiful Princess.
We then proceeded to the Park for more photo opportunities with the other Disney Characters. It was great fun to see the Disney Characters come to life!
We had great fun at the park, and we are so looking forward to the new attractions coming up next year!
