Children’s Show: Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf!

As a Singaporean Parent, one of my many worries is Mandarin! We hardly speak Mandarin at home, and we are always wondering, if our kids can cope with the Primary School Mandarin syllabus. Parents know that exposure and usage of the language, is essential if we want them to improve. Unfortunately, not many of us are doing it. Does this sound familiar to you?!? In celebration of the Year of Goat, MediaCorp VizPro International will be bringing in “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf – 3 Wishes”. Filled with catchy music and vibrant stage settings, the show is sure to allow children to learn Mandarin in a fun and interactive way. Sounds interesting right! And learning Mandarin in a fun way, is definitely something worth looking at.

For the uninitiated, the “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” cartoon was first introduced in 2005. After the launch of the cartoon TV series, it was well-loved by everyone and it received good reviews  The series became a huge sensation in countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia and America. Since 2009, “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf” stage show has performed over 800 shows, and more than 60-million audiences who had watched it. Currently, the cartoon series is airing on every Thursday at 2.00pm and every Saturday at 9.00am on Channel 8.

 

Synopsis

The story is about five goats discovering a bottle with a magician, Kalala, in it. Kalala boasts to grant his master three wishes with his limited magical power. This is overheard by the cunning Wolffy who steals the magic bottle. However, the three wishes of Wolffy did not come true, and he turns into a big pig head instead.

The new edition of the classical stage shows “Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf -3 Wishes” has been rearranged to incorporate more educational content. The adorable and popular “Pleasant Goat” family will be coming ‘live’ on stage to share about how they are going green, friendships and their love for Mother Earth. Through the fun stage show, children will be able to learn the importance of protecting the Earth
