Bubble Soccer has been around for a while, and although I have not tried my hands at the game before, I was looking forward to get myself into the bubble. Have you ever thought of Bubble Wrapping yourself? This game will make all those bubble dreams come true! 🙂

Working with Cohesion Singapore, we were brought through a technical briefing to alleviate our fears about the game. With the demonstrations provided by our facilitators, we were taught how to get in and out of the Bubble Safely, and also how to move around in our protective suit!

Upon entering the bubble, one finds that each inflatable comes equipeed with a harness. Strapping onto the shoulder harness, gives one the freedom to run around the pitch with the Bubble effortlessly. It may look complicated, but once you get into the Bubble, it is actually very easy to move in and out!

If you don’t really like soccer, Cohesion Singapore will bring you through 3 different games that maximizes the bubbles. In fact, we had the most fun bumping each other around, then putting a soccer ball into the back of the net. Frankly, I found it very hard to play soccer in the bubble, as I could hardly see my feet.

Is the bump hot? Is the bump heavy?

As you are attached to the bubble with shoulder straps, the girls had no problems lifting the bubble. However, it is not exactly light, as after running around for about 2 minutes, you will start feeling the weight.

Ventilation within the Bubble is bad. So besides not being able to hear your team mates, one does feel the heat within the Bubble, the moment you step in.

Is Bubble Soccer great for Teambuilding?

Sports and other outdoor activities are a great and efficient way for team building. Bubble Soccer does rank highly in the team bonding department. Bringing something different to the table, as not everyone has experienced Bubble Soccer, it has the “AHH” element in it.

Bubble Soccer is a full contact sport, as in this game, there are lots of tackles or bumping involved. With the Bubble protection, we were able to have mixed teams of boys and girls. Expect to see your friends being flipped over, and involuntary tumbling somersaults due to the assault from opposition teams.

This is one tiring game, as Bubble Soccer involves lots of running and tackles! A game of 5 minutes will leave you out of breath, so we recommend a team of at least 20 individuals, so that there is adequate time for one to rest and rotate.

My friends ranged from an age group of 20 to 44 years, and we thoroughly enjoyed the game As there are so many tumbles within the game, all social walls are cast aside after 5 minutes, and everyone is left at ease wth each other. If you want to know your colleagues, we strongly recommend a tumble in one of these bumps!

Bubble Soccer costs approximately $300 per hour inclusive of the venue. The costs can be lowered, if one already has a venue to play the game. However, we did like the artificial pitch, as it cushions one’s fall.

How long should I book Bubble Soccer for?

I would recommend at least 1.5 hour or 2 hours, if you have a team of 30 people. With the briefing, demonstration and the initiation, one does need some time to get used to the bubble. You do need good numbers to catch your breath and about 1.5 hours for adequate gameplay. Check out our smiles at the end of the day! 🙂
