Fun playground for your kids!
Parents are always looking for new places to bring their kids, and nice playgrounds are definitely a rare commodity in Singapore. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this playground in Tiong Bahru….

This playground comes with slides and obstacles, built around the theme of Trains. Nathan who loves "Thomas the Train" fell in love with this place immediately. The life-sized train with its carriages, made him so excited, that he was more than willing to try out the slides and rope obstacles.

Besides the train, the Tiong Bahru playground also boasts of other "retro" playground equipment. Do you remember the "Merry-Go-Rounds" that make you feel really giddy, as your friends spin you round and round. Yes! the Merry-Go-Round is available at this park. Check out this father, as he tries to spin his kids, as fast as he could…felt giddy just watching them!

And if you miss those swings made up of used car tyres, the Tiong Bahru Park offers something similar!

Besides the slides, there was also "flying foxes" which the kids can try out as well!

Overall, this playground just opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza is definitely worth the visit, and best of all, it is Free!
If you are looking for somewhere to bring your kids this weekend, and the Macritchie Tree-Top walk or the Goat Farm is too adventurous for you…this is definitely a much more convenient alternative.

The merry go round is so nostalgic! But my one major problem, my daugher’s afraid of sand and yes it doesn’t help that she has her shoes on.
Nevertheless it does look like a fun playground for an afternoon of free entertainment.

Daddy is the one who does not like sand, as it dirties the car!

Never heard of this playground before! Such ‘old-style’ playgrounds are quite hard to find these days. The kids looked like they had great fun!

Oh! I’ve often driven by this place but always forget to consider going there. Now that there are photos here to look at, I think I’ll remember!
