Kurios is in Singapore

Kurios is in Singapore and we are so glad to have caught it! Kurios by Cirque Du Soleil is wooing audiences at the Marina Bay Sands from now till August 18 and it continues to be a great draw for audiences young and old.

Driving by the Marina Bay area,  you will have noticed the new white and grey Big Top at Bayfront Ave. KURIOS– Cabinet of Curiosities. This is not our first Cirque and last year we even managed to catch their productions in Las Vegas. I loved their acts in Las Vegas, as they have a permanent stage, but if you can’t make it to the States, the travelling Big Tops bring in the same stage acrobats minus the 12-15 hour travel time.

The Kurios Story:

The Kurios story is about an optimistic scientist known as the The Seeker, who is convinced that there is an invisible world in his larger than life cabinet full of crazy ideas and grand dreams. Out of this cabinet will step out the 47 artist from 17 countries –  a collection of otherworldly characters made up of world-class gymnasts, acrobats, contortionists, hand-puppeteers, yo-yo wizards, clowns, actors and musicians.

What we can expect from Kurios?

The whole family will be entertained and it makes a great outing for the kids and the grandparents. Kurios has many of what might be considered traditional circus acts, but with its own unique twists. For example, the trapeze artist performs her stunts on a suspended bicycle and the juggler surprises everyone by being suddenly yanked from the stage and suspended in mid-air.  The unexpected twists definitely provide great entertainment and suspense.

In summary, the whole show brings death-defying high rise stunts and together with unbridled fun, who will not enjoy the circus.

If you have not been to the circus the Cirque du Soleil is always a good bet! 🙂
