Cheap Parking in Orchard Road
With Increasing Petrol and COE Prices, Singaporean Drivers are constantly looking for cheap places to park. As lots of Singaporean families hang out in Orchard Road, and I thought I should do an update on my earlier post on Cheap Parking in Orchard Road!
To look at Parking Prices Systematically, I thought that we will look at the cheapest prices on Weekdays 
On an average, families will park for approximately 3 hours in a specific location. On this premise, I decided to organize parking in this format—3 hours during PEAK hours.
Getting the latest rates from One Motoring, I have some really interesting results!
As Orchard Road is a long stretch, I have identified THREE different areas for one to Park, as one visit the Singapore Shopping Belt. And the results are:
Location 1: ION/SCOTTS ROAD area
The cheapest place to park here is: (Incidentally, these places are also out of the ERP region)
1) Shaw Centre
Cost of Parking on Weekdays from is $5.35 (3 hour Block)
This rate is based on current Parking Charges from 10am – 5pm.
2) Far East Plaza
Estimated Cost of Parking on Weekday is $6.42 ( 3 Hour Block)
These places are not the cheapest car parks in Orchard. However, they are great places to leave the car, when you are shopping at the Ion area.
Location 2: SOMERSET area
The cheapest place to park at the Somerset Area is:
1) Orchard Central (THIS RATE NO LONGER APPLIES, AS ORCHARD CENTRAL HAS REVISED THEIR RATES)
Estimated Cost of Parking on Weekday is $4.70 ( 3 Hour Block) (Revised rate $2 for 1st hour, $1 for next 30mins)
This rate is based on current Parking Charges from 10am – 5pm.
A close 2nd place is none other than
2) Scape
Estimated Cost of Parking on Weekday is $4.95 ( 3 Hour Block)
This rate is based on current Parking Charges from 10am – 5pm.
Are you ready for more Good News? Frankly, I was really stunned that my research would unearth these 2 places! The cheapest place to park in Orchard Road!
Location: DHOBY GHAUT area
They are above Dhoby Ghaut MRT!
So without further adieu, the cheapest place to park in Orchard Road from 9am – 5pm on weekdays is….
1) Atrium at Orchard
Estimated Cost of Parking on Weekday is $3.63 ( 3 Hour Block)
This rate is based on current Parking Charges from 10am – 5pm.
2) Plaza Singapura
Estimated Cost of Parking on Weekday is $3.63 ( 3 Hour Block)
This rate is based on current Parking Charges from 10am – 5pm.
These 2 places have the same charges for a 3 hour block, and I suspect that Plaza Singapura will turn out slightly cheaper, as usually they have some lunch hour perks, where they give FREE Parking to shoppers at selected hours.

Btw, the Worst place to park is in TAKASHIMAYA! it’s the MOST expensive! If you really need to park there, park at Wisma instead.
