Word Winder

My wife grew up on Word Games like Scrabble while growing up!

Daddy was the complete opposite, as I was very much into my  “Game and Watch” and “Atari” game system.

However, as the boy became a Man, and eventually a Father, I am slowly beginning to see the importance of Word Games.

Frankly, everyone learns fastest when they are having fun! And Word Winder certainly fits into that category.

The game is much simpler than Scrabble, as you can build a word in any direction. Reflecting the Word Winder name, players use an unlimited number of coloured ‘chips’ to form words that can be placed in any direction on the board – left to right, top to bottom or even in a winding pattern.

In their bid to win, players need to complete an unbroken line of words from top to bottom or from side to side and can outwit their opponents by blocking their path. Sounds simple enough right! Smile

The game caters to people with different abilities, so even Grandparents can join in the fun! The best thing about the game is that you can teach the kids many new words through play, and subconsciously increase their vocabulary.

In case you are wondering about the creators, the game is created by David Hoyt. This man is currently known to be the world’s most syndicated word game creator!

Another plus point about the game is that is small enough to pack for road trips, and it is easy to play.

Distributed in Singapore exclusively by Emway,

Word Winder is available at Toys R’Us and major departmental stores. It retails for SGD$29.90.
