This week, at the invitation of my friend Dennis, I had the privilege to attend a workshop on how to improve my Power Point Presentations.

Based on the acronoym S.P.Y, Sticky presentations aims to take your presentation slides to the next level! The sticky concept is using Simple, Persuasive and Youthful ideas to enhance your presentation and to communicate a lasting message to your audience. In other words, the ideas should STICK to their minds!

In this 3 hour workshop, Resident Trainer Tian Teck expounds on the idea of effective power point slides in a clear and interactive workshop.
The slides that he used for the workshop were definitely NOT BORING, and they were effective in getting his message across.
In fact, I left the workshop realizing that I need to think through my slides, before I do my next presentation. The “lazy” method of putting all your points onto the Power Point, maybe easy, but it is not the most effective route!
Like it or Hate it – Power Point is here to stay…and Mastery of this Basic Office Application can only make us better communicators and more effective students or employees.
