Shangri-La Hotel Review
Sponsored Review
One of the iconic hotels in Singapore has got to the Shangri-la, and last weekend, we were invited for a luxurious Staycation at this 5 Star Resort along the Orchard Road area.
As we have a large family, one of the first few things that we look out for, are large Hotel rooms. As the kids need space to run around, we were definitely not disappointed when we saw the rooms at the Shangri-La.
We loved the fact that, the kids had adjoining rooms with us, and this means that they had lots of space to run around, and also they own comfy beds to sleep on!
The kids were so excited the moment they stepped into the room! They quickly discovered the “Welcome fruit basket” and the lovely chocolates, as the Shangri-La welcomed us for our Staycation.
A Special feature of the Shangri-La toilets, is that they all come with special wooden windows. At the press of a button, the wooden louvers open, and the kids in their bathtub are able to peek out of the bathrooms, and talk to mum and dad directly. Check out Nathan as he peeps out of the bathroom window, into the bedroom!
On the weekends, the Shangri-la also provides special entertainment for the kids! The kids had a whale of a time, as the hotel provided entertainment for the kids in terms of balloon sculpturing, face painting, miniature golf, and other activities.
I must say that the face painting artist that they engaged was really very good. Check out the creations that the artist drew that day!
If you are worried that the kids will be hungry, with everyone hanging out at the pool, you will be glad to know that cocktails and light refreshments are provided for all Garden Wing Guests. From 5-7pm daily, guests can sit down and relax with the family, with food and free flow wine, beers and beverages. Yes! And it is all complimentary! Yummz!
While the kids were at the pool, Parents can also experience the Shangri-La Spa or gym at the hotel. We went to the spa, and we were pampered with heated massaging beds, as well as a first class massage. I was in 3rd heaven, as I fell asleep with the couples massage package.
For all health enthusiasts, the Shangri-La gym comes fully equipped, and it has enough equipment to satisfy the most fussy customer. As we explored the gym, Nathan went to feed the fishes at the Koi Pond. The hotel has regular feeding times for the fishes, such that guests are invited to feed the fishes at these times.
We definitely loved everything about our staycation at the Shangri-La. And we loved our stay even more, as we discovered the food at “The Line”! Find out more in our next instalment!
