Gardens by the Bay – Winter
Sponsored Review
The Gardens by the Bay is always such a sight whenever you drive by the ECP, and if you have not made it down into the domes, you have to visit the Gardens.
Yes! The seasons change and in the same way, the flowers at the Gardens are changing! It’s hard to believe it, but Christmas is over and now we are into 2013, but if you are still in the Yuletide mood or if you just want to breathe in more of the Xmas season, head on down to the gardens.
The Penguins and the Polar bears which you see in the pictures are not made of the usual styrofoam, but they have been pruned from plants into well-crafted caricatures. Quite a different prospect from what you find in shopping malls.
And when you stay on into the night, the Christmas decorations take on a new life! This was also my first time trying out my Casio ZR1000, and I was able to use the Art Mode for some of the shots!
The interesting things about the Gardens is that it is such a young attraction, and every time you go, there seems to be new things added to the park. Many of the kids loved climbing up this new “Ant” sculpture, which was added to the foyer area.
In fact, many foodies will also be glad to know that the new “Satay Club” will soon be open at Gardens at the Bay. People from my era will remember the old Stay Club which existed at the Esplanade eons ago. The new Satay club will definitely bring back many pleasant memories which many families will enjoy!
And many thanks to Ferne from the Gardens for bringing us around! The kids had great fun and we made sure that they ran around, so that they could sleep early that night!
