Fuzion Kitchen: Western food with a Twist!
Sponsored Review
Last week, we were invited by a friend to the “Army Market” along Beach Road to “Fuzion Kitchen”. We have never sampled Italian food with an Asian Twist before, and we were therefore excited at the prospect!
Started by Sunny and Samantha, the 2 siblings combined forces like the “Wonder Twins” to start this business 2 years ago. Using their sibling and Eurasian heritage to their advantage, Sunny has created Western food with a strong Asian flavour.
Just think about it, “Have you even been served Spaghetti Bolognese with Corn Beef and Chilli Padi?”
If the Answer is No, you have got the try their Diablo Bolognese (Devil Bolognese)! This is definitely Italian Cuisine with an Asian Twist, as the chilli padi brings new meaning to the word “Kick!”. I tried the Bolognese myself and the kids were laughing at me, as I began to “Sweat” like a dog, as I wolfed down the noodles.
In my interview with Sunny, I asked if a the Diablo Bolognese was only a hit with the locals. Surprisingly, he said No! With the Expatriate office crowd near the market, lots of them have actually developed a taste for Chilli, and they have been faithful fans of this dish. Such is the success of Fuzion Kitchen, that they have also been recently featured in a Business Times article!
If Chilli Padi is not up your alley, then you have got to try the Seafood Thai Green Curry Udon! The Thai Green Curry is made with fresh milk instead of Coconut milk, to bring about a healthier and less sinful dimension to one’s dinner.
Another noteworthy dish is the Penne Scooter. This lasagne is made with layers of Penne, and Nicole was the first to finish the whole dish by herself!
The Beach Road market has just been renovated recently, and we were back here for the first time.
The 2 siblings love to create and on certain weekends, they will have new items added to the Menu. Whether it is French, Filipino or just traditional Eurasian favourites, Sunny and Samantha are not afraid to come out blazing with new dishes for their customers. If you don’t want to miss out on those weekends, do join their Facebook Page, as they will give you the “heads up”, on what’s New on their menu!
If you love the food at Fuzion Kitchen, you will be glad to know that our Chefs are open to catering at your parties as well. You can order the dishes and pick up your favourite dishes by yourself, or you can make use of their delivery service as well. However, you want it, just talk to Sunny and Samantha, and I am sure that they can whip something up for you.
