Casio ZR1000 Review

It’s been a really hectic Christmas, but one of the really cool presents that I received from Casio is their latest point and shoot camera: Casio ZR1000. Previously, we have tried the Casio ZR20, and we loved it! So we are definitely looking forward to take a closer look at Casio’s flagship model!
The truth to be told, many of us don’t think of Casio, when we think about buying a new camera. In fact, as I was growing up, I will always associate Casio with digital watches and calculators. Unknown to many, Casio has always been on the forefront of technology, and they were the first to produce the World’s smallest and thinnest digital Camera.
The good news is that Casio has been putting its expertise to good use, and consumers will be glad to see the features of the Casio ZR1000 at work!
To put the sceptics to bed, I thought that I will first emphasize on the most impressive capabilities of the Casio ZR1000.
Check out what I could achieve with the Casio ZR1000 at full ZOOM!
Frankly these are images that I cannot even see with my naked eye, and with such a powerful zoom, the camera was acting as my eyes!
Although the Camera only has a 12.5x optical zoom, with the use of technology and at each press of the shuttle, the Casio ZR1000 merges 4 images together to produce a single shot which is equivalent to a 25X Super Resolution Zoom! This is truly amazing as I can take these shots without a tripod, and produce high resolution shots with a tiny little handheld camera.
Just check out this other shot which I took of the Singapore flyer.
This was where I was standing, and the view that I had of the Singapore Flyer.
And now, check out what I could take as I focused and zoomed in on the seating cabins of the Singapore Flyer.
The camera is truly amazing! As I can only take these shots with a super big lens, that Sports journalists use! Not only are those lenses heavy, but you will need to use a tripod as well!
As you can see, this little camera is like a gigantic telescope in my back pocket, as I could make out things that I could hardly see with my naked eye!
And can you imagine, this is only one of the many advantages of the latest Casio ZR1000.
The camera is certainly great fun, so stay tuned as I will be sharing more about the Casio ZR1000 in the later weeks!
