With 3 restaurants centrally located around Singapore, we trooped into the Brozeit restaurant at 313 Orchard. Our appetites were whet, as we have heard that Award-Winning Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner was at the helm of the Christmas creations and that he personally drummed up the offerings in the Brotzeit Christmas Platter.

Costing $118++ and enough to feed 4-6 people, the Brotzeit Christmas Platter tastes as good as it looks! As the large wooden platter was placed in front of the kids, I had to reign them in, to take some photos before they attacked the food presented in front of them (Yes! They have to observe proper Photo protocol, before they eat! 🙂 )

And here is what the menu says about the Brotzeit Chritsmas Platter:

Reviving old-time roasting techniques, the Brotzeit Christmas Platter consists of Brotzeit’s  signature Roast Pork Knuckle, a selection of Veal and Venison Sausages, Roast Pork Roulade and Veal Shank, with ample sides of seasonal vegetables, mash potato and dumplings to satisfy a group of 4 persons and above.

How many people can the Brotzeit Christmas Platter Feed?

Officially it feeds 4-6 people.

But I guess everyone wants a good estimate of the portions of food, so as to maximise your dollar. So here is our estimation of the portions:

If there are 4 guys at the table, the Brotzeit Christmas Platter is good for the 4 guys.

If you are out with your girlfriends, the Brotzeit Christmas Platter can feed 6 girls.

If you are out with a family of 5-6 and have about 2-3 adults in your party, the Brotzeit Christmas Platter will do well! 🙂

Is the Brotzeit Xmas Dinner Value for Money?

If the party has about 2 guys and 4 girls. One only needs to pay about $20 per person.

For parties that want a little more, one can opt for an add-on. We will strongly recommend the Venison Steak ($42). As Venison is always a hit with my family, we totally loved the tender and fragrant meat offered in this dish.

Verdict on Brotzeit Christmas Dinner

For a family that loves their meats, we totally enjoyed it! We loved the pork knuckle, braised veal shank and Pork Roulade. If you are a vegetarian, this is the wrong place to go!

Additionally, the mash potatoes were lovely, as it is drizzled with truffle oil, adding that classy taste to a basic staple to any western meal.

Only drawback was the braised veal shank could have more meat. Imagine 5 hungry people attacking this bone with chunks of soft meat on it. Definitely not enough for the family! 🙂

And the Best way to end any night at Brotzeit is with Dessert!

The Choco Drizzled Waffles ($12) with walnut ice cream, plum sauce and a drizzling of decadent molten chocolate is totally satisfying. As soon as the plates touched our tables, our kids were “full on” into this dessert.  Even if you just want to walk in for some sweets, this dish will be a great way to end any night out with your friends.

And guess what! You are never too late for Happy Hour at Brotzeit.

Happy Hour starts from 9pm till closing, so you can always meet your friends there to watch soccer and still have desserts and some cost savings at the same time! 🙂
