Mitzo Restaurant Weekend Brunch

Everyone loves good Cantonese food, and we enjoyed it, even more after visiting Mitzo Restaurant’s Weekend Brunch!  Breaking the mould of traditional Chinese Cuisine, Mitzo restaurant offers fine dining with your traditional Dim Sum favourites.

Located at Grand Park Orchard Hotel (Opposite Paragon), Mitzo offers diners a chance to overlook Singapore’s Iconic Orchard Road, as they immerse themselves with the finest Cantonese Dim Sum around.

Available every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday from 1130 am to 230pm, Mitzo’s Weekend brunch brings diners on a gastronomic journey when they get to sample luxurious items such as Lobster, Abalone, and Bamboo Clam dishes! Yes! Definitely not the items which you get to eat everyday, and worthy of that special family occasion.

Here’s how it works! When you arrive and are brought to your table, you get a small folder with empty copies of the Dim Sum menu and a pencil. Simply place your order by writing the number of servings you like for each dish. (Do note that the dishes are served fast and furious after you put in your order!)

There’s no limit to how many servings you would want except for the dishes under the Supreme Special category. For the latter, each adult diner is entitled to one serving. And we really ordered away!

Look at our Supreme Specials!

We figured just the Supreme Specials alone would cover the cost of the Brunch! But of course, there’s more! Some of the dishes were familiar favourites like Siew Mai, Char Siew, Egg Tarts, and some were fresh unique creations that the chef came up with.

Each dish used the freshest of ingredients, and all had a very delicate and exquisite taste to it. One of our favourites was their Char Siew. The caramelization of the pork was so well-done that we ordered at least 4 servings of it! (Nadine loved this a LOT!)  Meanwhile, Nicole and Mummy had many servings of the double boiled soup!

Our other favourites include the Egg Tarts (much much nicer than the overrated Bake tarts), the Mango Pudding and their Soup of the Day. The kids had a blast trying out all the delectables!

The beauty of the buffet is that one can just order non-stop, once you are seated. There is no walking up and down the buffet line, and no waiting for the lunch trays to be filled up. Just sit back, look out for your favorites and tick away!

One highlight of eating at Mitzo, is that the weekend brunch includes a playroom where the kids can watch tv, color and play with some of the toys. After eating their fill, the kids were running around inside the room, and having a relaxing time on the telly. This is great news for Daddy and Mummy, as we were able to sit back and relax, without much disturbances.

For diners, who appreciate a good glass of wine, for an additional $60++ per adult, one can also enjoy free flow artisanal cocktails, Veuve Clicquot champagne, wines, and beers.
