Youth Olympic Games – A Girl’s Hope
Oh Wow…this Video is so touching…
After all the Big protests about JJ lin’s Cheer, MCYS seems to have an answer in a more “human” ad, and it seems to be able to touch our hearts.
Watch it first before you read the post:
I thought it was very ordinary at first, and as the Mum answered questions about the clouds…A bit of deja-vu came over me…
I think Nicole has asked me about the sky and the clouds before…and I thought that her answer was quite revelational.
I think Blue speaks to me – as the favourite colour of many guys and not of hope (oh my…I might be a him-bo).
But I think it is a good association and I might keep that textbook answer, the next time Nathan asks me about the sky.
The most touching part was definitely when she looked up and I realized that the little girl was blind.
I think it kind of reminds us – that we should not give up dreaming and hoping, as this is the kind of stuff that faith is made of.
And last night, as I was watching the news…I saw the little girl’s interview with MediaCorp.
When asked how she felt about the Youth Olympic Games….She said that she was excited about it and that she…
“Cant wait to see the fireworks!”
Innocence can’t be bought – and that’s why the ad is so convincing!

Oh gosh, that video touched my heart. I got a shocked when I noticed the little girl was blind. To think such an ordinary video such as this, can make one’s heart move so much.
Well Ed, I love what you did with your blog and it was good meeting ya during dinner, although we didn’t manage to exchange a lot words, I’m sure there will be more chances for us to do so.
See ya around~

u know.. i first saw this video during trailer and commercial time at the cinema last week.
ANd (bear in mind, it was my first time ever seeing it).. and the moment i saw the girl’s drawing… i said (very audibly) “Yuck!”
And the next few seconds, her face was in shot, and she was blind.
I felt DAMN AWFUL about my reaction lah.
