Recently, we were invited to a Media Launch by AXA, and we were introduced to AXA’s “Total Protection” coverage for the whole family. Hosted by the folks from FLY Entertainment, we were introduced to the products via a game show hosted by the ever-engaging Adrian Pang. 
Together with his cast of Beatrice Chia-Richmond, Malay comedian Suhaimi Yusof (From the Noose) and the rest of the cast from Fly Entertainment, the crowd was entertained through skits and educated through the many questions asked throughout the show. 
As the skits were impromptu, and determined by the characters drawn from the “pot”, the “creative juices” of the crew from FLY Entertainment had to work overtime to entertain the crowd. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the performances, as the crew had the children’s stomach tied in knots, as we continued to absorb the benefits of the AXA insurance packages.
Some of the fun facts that we learnt from the show was that 60% of childhood accidents happen at home, and that there are about 60 children a day, who are treated at KK Hospital for accidents.
With so many differing needs, there is always a need for companies to understand what consumers need. Therefore, feedback from parents is important, as the people on the ground always have different perspectives from bureaucrats and designers. Recently, AXA did a video which pit designers versus parents. At the end of their experiment, a survey was taken to and consumers had to decide between design and safety.
