Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival
Disney on Ice is back with Magical Ice Festival this March! The school holidays are here, and the Singapore Indoor Stadium is going to be packed with many young girls dressed up as Elsa and other Disney Princesses! Running from March 11-20, this Disney on Ice spectacular, is one of the main highlights of the March School holidays.

If you have kids aged from 12 and younger, this will be the show for them to watch this holiday. Having a boy and 2 girls, there are 2 levels of excitement, when the cast appears. The girls will go crazy and “Let it go”, when Elsa and Anna appear, and my boy was more excited when Mickey and Donald appear. Yes! This was what it was like, as I sat next to them for this ice escapade.
Just this week, we were invited to the Premier of Disney on Ice: Magical Ice Festival. As a parent, the Disney on Ice crew have been making regular appearances in Singapore, and most parents have envisioned a family outing with Disney on Ice! Although they have taken a hiatus from Singapore, the Disney crew is now back, and there are returning with new routines! 🙂
Besides Mickey, Minnie and the traditional Disney characters anchoring the show, do expect to see other favorite characters. There was Ariel from “The Little Mermaid”, Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”, Rapunzel, and of course the greatest cheers were reserved for Elsa and Anna from “Frozen”. Check out some of the photos, that I managed to catch of the show below:
The most fun part of the show was of course singing to ones’ favorite Disney Tunes. From “Be my guest” to “Mother knows best”, these songs will roll off your tongue, as you tap your feet to these catchy melodies. Naturally, the choruses were loudest, when “Let it go” was played, and all the kids were more than ready to dance to their favorite tunes. Btw, this segment also had the most number of phones in recording mode! 🙂
One of the drawbacks of the Indoor stadium, is that one feels very far away from the ice rink when watching the show. Buying the cheap seats, means that you need to take out the binoculars, and with the music playing, one does feel a bit detached from the show. However, the children don’t seem to realize such aesthetics, as they are always just happy to be at the show! 🙂
Disney on Ice will be running to March 20, and tickets can be purchased online at the Sporthub.
Tickets start from $25-$120.
