LG Home Appliances
Media Invite
I have not been into the kitchen for a while, but recently we were invited for a Cookout with LG Electronics! This was not our first time at the Asian Food Kitchen, but this was definitely the first time that Daddy was behind the Stove alone, after a very long time.
With this in mind, I was therefore a bit apprehensive, as I have only stepped behind the stove, once or twice within the last 5 years. Hoping for a dish that I was familiar with, I was nervously looking forward to see what was on the menu. True to LG’s Korean Heritage, we were tasked to cook Bibim Naengmyeon (Cold Korean Noodles) and Mango Mousse Parfait. Dishes that I have no prior experience with…
After the Chef from Asian food kitchen demonstrated how to make the Mango Mousse, Daddy tried his best to make the perfect dessert. Being new to the whole trade, I was quickly made infamous, as I was the first person to FAIL in his dessert dish. After mixing my eggs with cream, I was just too enthusiastic in “beating” the eggs, and as a result, I made Butter instead of Mousse!
I was wondering why my concoction was so “chunky” compared to everyone else…
Thankfully, I was able to re-do my dish quickly, as the LG appliances like their Microwave ovens were easy to operate!
Next up was the Cold Korean Noodles. Korean food always seems to involve a lot of vegetables, and I had to cut up my greens to prepare for my dish. The thing about this “Bim Bim Bap like” Noodles, is that it is a cold dish! Definitely very different from the Hot Noodles we get at home! Thankfully, Daddy did not have much problems with this dish, and preparations went rather smoothly.
As we waited for our dessert to freeze, we were introduced to the host of home appliances that LG offers. For example, they make appliances such as Washing Machines, Dish washers and Microwave ovens. LG staff were quickly at hand to show us how LG is making the kitchen simpler for everyone!
One of my favourite LG Home appliances are the Fridges. LG is the World’s First company to offer an Inverter Linear Compressor which means that it offers 30% more efficiency than other brands. Another unique feature is that it comes with a “Health Guard”. The Health Guard filters the air within the fridge to preserve the freshness and the nutritional value of the stored food. It’s 4 step hygiene Caring System actually sucks in contaminated air, purifies it, and then sends out fresh air back into the refrigerator! Cool right! Wish I had one of the fridges at home.
But the best part o the night was of course eating my own home cooked food! I was definitely glad that my dessert tuned out better than expected!
