Eczema and Children (Giveaway)
Eczema is fast becoming a common ailment found in kids.
This itchy, dry or redness around the skin affects an estimated 15 million Americans. The name eczema is actually an all-encompassing title for a range of skin conditions that produce the same itching and redness, the most common of which is called atopic dermatitis
Recently, my son has been waking up at night complaining that he was hot, and he was scratching all over. Initially, we thought nothing of it, but the problem seemed to persist for the next few weeks and months. A helpful friend who is a nurse examined him, and told us that his skin was dry for a young 7yo. It was only then, that our eyes were opened to the fact, that if we don’t look after his condition, it can develop into eczema.
Doing some simple research on Eczema, we realized that atopic dermatitis is the most common type of eczema found in infants and children under the age of two. In fact, about 10 to 20 percent of infants have eczema. The disease occurs less frequently in adults, but they can still be affected through periodical flare-ups that are triggered by different allergic reactions or reactions to skin irritants.
We realized that in order to help the poor boy, we need the help him curb the tendency to scratch the rash! As the normal reaction of scratching will only make the condition worsen, and it may progress to cause more serve skin damage or secondary infection. Normal soap and and gentle baby washes did not seem to be working, and we needed a solution.
It was then, that our Pharmacist friend came in and introduced us to Isoderm.
German made, these cleansers are gentle and maintains the skin’s PH value of 5.5! This simply means that Isoderm keeps our skin’s natural acidity in protecting the skin against environmental factors and bacterial infections. Regular use will restore health and moisture to the skin, leaving it soft and rash free. Well, we gave the Isoderm cleanser to Nathan and he loved it.
Nathan loved the Lather, and when he came out of the bathroom, he loved the fact that his skin did not feel itchy anymore. Furthermore, he continued to enjoy his sleep without scratching through the night. We are happy that his condition is improving, and we are also glad that Eczema is not contagious, and that we don’t need to keep babies or siblings away from him or anyone affected with Eczema.
If you are worried about pricing, as these cleansers can get quite expensive, my wife surveyed the market and realized that this German cleanser is actually one of the cheapest around. Do check out the Pricing of Eczema cleansers here.
