As both my wife and I enjoy good food! We could not wait to utilize these benefits we got our American Express Platinum Card. As we love French Food, we managed to check out this quaint restaurant in the Selegie area. 
La Cuisson started at a coffee shop in Queen Street. Through good reviews and a strong following, La Cuisson has now progressed to a bistro and wine bar. Located near Cathay Cinema and surrounded by MRT stations, La Cuisson is conveniently located at 44 Prinsep Street. One of the 1st things that I go for when I eat French is Escargot. These snails proved to be great way to start our dinner, as they were well cooked. At $10 for 6 Escargot, I had no complaints about this starter.
My wife had the Beef Carpaccio ($18), which is slowly becoming one of our favorite dishes. It was a perfect appetizer as it was light yet very tasty! The meat was thinly sliced and the sauce was delicious and brought out the freshness of the beef very well!
For our main course, we went for the meats. I had the Ribeye which is Australian Angus and served with potatoes, roasted banana shallots, roasted vine ripe tomato and sauce bordelaise. It was appetizing and the meat was just nice.
A good tip for ordering is that if you get any main course and you can get a value add-on of Foie Gras at cheaper price. Had no regrets asking for this add-on, as the Foie Gras was rich, and spot on for me. Loved the rich exquisite taste of this much desired dish. For Dessert, we had the Manjari Chocolate Ganache ($16), which definitely sat well with us, as we were great chocolate lovers. Would have preferred a much richer chocolate ice-cream though, as I felt that it could have added a better balance to the dish.
And more importantly, how much did we have to pay for the meal? Normally without the 1 for 1 offer, we would be looking at an expensive night out together. However, with everything going at half price, we only have to pay $80 for the both the both of us. That is definitely more affordable considering that we were going to a chic french restaurant, and only paying $40 a head, for a 3 course steak dinner. As we missed the kids and the night was still young, we went home to pick the kids and brought them out for some dessert. We went to one of our favorite Italian restaurants “Gastronomia da Paolo”.
Unfortunately, my kids have a very healthy appetite, and when they go for dessert, it is like having a full meal. They had to have some of their favorite pizzas to fill their tummy as well!
As you can see, they had no problems finishing the food, and adding on some of their favorite chocolate desserts to the buffet as well. The great thing is that the Amex Platinum offered us discounts at the restaurant as well, and it means more savings for the family.
