Les Miserables

In my view, this is the Best show at the Movie theatre at the moment: Les Miserables!

If you love musicals, you need to catch Les Miserables at the theatre. I am sure that some of us have managed to watch the famous Broadway musical Les Miserables, and personally I have watched it “Live”, twice at the theatres.

But I have never understood everything, until I watched it at the cinema! This movie, based on the musical is simply breath-taking. With the close-ups on the cast, and every emotion in HD, the audience is able to catch what you might have missed out on, in the theatre.  As a result, the movie takes you on a roller-coaster of emotions, and it is difficult not to have the songs playing over and over again in your head.

Hugh Jackman, who is famous for playing Wolverine in X-Men, is a 100% convincing Jean Vaijean, and I am not surprised that he was won “Tony’s” for his role in other Broadway musicals.

Furthermore, like the stage production of Victor Hugo’s epic novel, “Les Mis” the movie is a live musical. That means the actors– Jackman, Crowe, Anne Hathaway, and Amanda Seyfried– sang all the songs live on set. No lip-synching to canned studio recordings in this movie. That’s right it was all “LIVE” as they sang on set.

It is no wonder, that I left the theatre all teary eyed, after watching this production. You just have to catch it for yourself! :0
