Tulips at Gardens by the Bay
One of the Biggest events at Gardens by the Bay this year, has got to be “Tulipmania”. These flowers hail from Holland, and with their wide array of colours, they simply bring a smile to anyone’s face! My Mum and Wife simply adore Tulips, and they were hopelessly excited to see the bulbs for themselves!
Well, it seems like my favourite 2 ladies were NOT the only fans. As the whole gardens was packed throughout the weekend! There were even queues to the carpark!
Who can blame them? With the Tulips blooming in their bright colours and the conservatory being air-conditioned and wheelchair friendly, the Gardens is simply a great place to bring your Grand Parents and family members, for some family time together. Do check out the photos below for yourselves:
*Interesting fact: In the language of flowers, Tulips are a symbol of Passionate love.
Don’t the Tulips look beautiful!
This is the 2nd time that the Tulips are back in Singapore and in total, the Gardens flew in 50,000 Tulip Bulbs to make the display possible till 4 May.
If the Seniors in your family, would want to take this opportunity to visit the Gardens, you will be glad to know that they are offering a 50% discount for all Seniors from Singapore.
Get down to the Gardens this weekend (26-27 April), and you will be in time to soak up more Dutch Culture. Savour Cheese, Dutch Cultural music and games. For a detailed schedule, check out the Gardens by the Bay timings here. Miffy will also be appearing this weekend!
And if you are wondering whether my kids were bored… No! they were not! The kids loved the atmosphere, and they joined in the crowds in taking pictures. I passed them their Nikon Cameras, and they went from flower to flower, trying to catch the perfect shot!
Btw, Daddy was busy with his Nikon as well! All pictures here are taken with the Nikon D610.
