With Christmas just round the corner, and the December school holidays in full swing, parents are getting stressed. We all have our Christmas shopping to worry about, and to make things worse, the kids are getting bored at home. Many of us are starting to feel the pressure, and wondering how we can keep the kids occupied! Well, here is something, that you can put in your family calendar! A Gingerbread House Decoration Workshop at Shangri-La Hotel SIngapore!

Celebrate family traditions and togetherness at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, with the much-anticipated Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop. Conducted by Area Executive Pastry Chef Hervé Potus, the workshop will allow parents and children to create their very own gingerbread houses. If you are tired of getting your home messy, due to your family cake making experiments, it;s time to put the leg up! Get the crew from Shangri-La to do all the clean up work instead. Furthermore, when the pastry experts are involved, all the decorations go up One level! Check out these cool Christmas decorations, that we could put on our Gingerbread house.

If you do not spend much time in the kitchen, and feel inept with cake decorations, parents will be glad to know that the crew from Shangri-La Hotel Singapore will be around to assist the children. Whether it is just a basic house or creative ideas on how to put the icing on the gingerbread house, the crew were always around to lend a helping hand.

As you can see, the kids really enjoyed themselves, and they loved every minute of their Gingerbread house making workshop.  And to top it all off, each kid gets to keep his gingerbread house, and bring it home. Looks like we had some great decorations for our Christmas Parties.

The best thing about the Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop, is that all patrons are entitled to a mini high tea, as the family is entitled to refreshments during the workshop. So as you work together with your kids, there are great refreshments to sweeten the whole experience. Doesn’t that sound like the “Shang experience!”

The Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop is priced at SGD 98 nett and includes a 90-minute session for one child (aged three to 12 years old) accompanied by up to two adults. (Hint: If you have more than 2 kids, do talk to the folks at Shangri-la, and I am sure that they can arrange something)

The Gingerbread House Decorating Workshop will be held on 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 December 2015 from  11am to 12.30pm or 3pm to 4.30pm. Do check them out, if you have the time.
