With Extended Opening Hours till 9pm, Universal Studios has got extra shows to bring extra entertainment for the whole family. And if you are looking for discounted tickets to Universal Studios, enter the park after 5pm, and enjoy the same rides and shows, without the long queues! 🙂
If you have a full day at Resort World Sentosa and have not visited one the best aquariums in Asia, start off your day with a “Fishy” experience at S.E.A Aquarium. For this holidays season, let your kids experience a treasure hunt and discover more intimate knowledge of the underwater world with a Christmas treasure hunt.
Kids who visit the aquarium at Resort World Sentosa will get a kids guide, where they will move from tank to tank, and discover the answers to their treasure hunt. Simply “scratch” the correct answer, and kids will get a prize, at the completion of their journey.
For the younger ones, they can also hang their wishes on a miniature S.E.A Christmas Tree, and color their own crowns in the arts and craft room.
For Parents who are worried about spending, there is Good News for all families.
Visit the S.E.A Aquarium on Tuesdays and beat the blues with a 1 for 1 offer!
There are also special bundled price tickets for visiting the S.E.A Aquarium and Universal Studios. Visit the S.E.A Aquarium website for more details!
Our day did not stop there, as we proceeded to Universal Studios Singapore for some pure adrenaline roller-coaster fun. Extended hours till 9pm is up to 3rd Jan, and together with the Christmas Family shows, there is simply more entertainment for the whole family.
Entitled “Santa’s All Star Christmas”, there are beautiful Christmas Decorations to usher in the holiday season, once visitors enter the park! Together with the famous Universal Studios Cartoon characters that “litter” the park, there is simply an abundance of Selfie moments for everyone.
For the Holiday Season, Sesame Street has a special Christmas show, where all your favorite Sesame Street characters are ready to make an appearance. As Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer has fallen sick after shooting a movie, the fate of Christmas now rests on the Sesame Street friends. Enjoy song, dance and your favorite Christmas Carols, as the Sesame Street characters dance their way, into the hearts of your young ones.
Celebrate the evergreen Christmas Story with Scrooge and his friends, in the special London Set. Enjoy a Victorian Christmas as Sting Alley is transformed into 19th Century England where visitors can meet the miserly Scrooge himself. We all had great fun watching and listening to the english “banter”going on around us, as the English neighbours and carolers brought us back in time.
Christmas cannot be complete without Snow! And upon every hour along the main street of Universal Studios, visitors can fin snow in Hot and Humid Singapore. The kids were in awe, as they witness the little “Snow Flakes” raining down from the skies. Although not enough to make a snowman, the kids definitely enjoyed their “Snow Flake”moments!
Next up, was the Hollywood Christmas Gift show! The Toy Soldiers are on a mission to deliver gifts to some very ‘nice’ guests! Set along the main street of Universal studios, guests can expect to be immersed into the Christmas cheer with the Penguins of Madagascar, Marilyn Monroe and the Minions! As usual, the Minions are always a hit, when it comes to photo moments with the family! 🙂
As we stayed all the way till the park closed at 9pm, the kids had their favorite Pizza in the park. With gigantic servings when it comes to pizza, you can tell why they loved the dining options offered at Universal Studios!
And the last show that we caught on the night was “Winter Tales” Set to the tunes of familiar Christmas Carols, kids will get to see their favorite Christmas Characters closing the night for them.
One of the best things about staying for extended hours in the park or entering after 5pm, is that the park is quieter a the night progresses. Earlier in the day, we needed to wait for 30-45 mins for our favorite rides. However, by the time we hit nightfall, we only had to wait for 10 mins or less. By 8pm, we were going for ride after ride, without having to queue at all. The kids definitely enjoyed this perk, as they were running for the rides again and again. In my book, the after 5pm tickets, with extended opening hours represents great value for the family! 🙂
And just before the park closes, take a stroll down the main streets, and take your family pictures without any distractions or “photo bombers” to ruin your favorite shot.
If your family has not anything planned for the New Year, Usher in the New Year together with Resort World Sentosa. There will be fireworks, and extended opening hours all the way to 130am.
Tickets are priced at $48 for adults and $38 for kids. There is also a family package for where 2 adults and 2 kids are priced at $126. (Prices are for entry after 5pm)
