Tupperware Party with Chef Wan
Recently I was invited to a Tupperware Party, and it was sure different from the ones that we grew up with…
I remember going to a Tupperware Party when I was young, and it was basically a party where Aunties and Housewives gather to meet. In between the conversations, a Tupperware Sales Representative will then come down to introduce the latest Tupperware products to the ladies.
These days, Tupperware Parties are so much more High Class. I was invited to the Asian Food Kitchen in Orchard, for a lunch date with a Celebrity Chef, and a chance to be introduced to the latest Tupperware Products.
Frankly, this is my first contact with Chef Wan, and I have got to say that he is simply HILARIOUS!
Starting his career as an accountant, he is not just a grandfather but also the first celebrity to be bestowed the title of ‘Datuk’ by King Yang Di-Pertuan Agong in February 2010. This was followed by his appointment as ‘Culinary Ambassador’ by Tourism Malaysia in November 2010.
Here are a few shots of the Master Chef in action. He was certainly entertaining, as he entertained us with his brand of local humour. ![]()
The best thing about the event was that there were more “goodies” to come! Yes! The authentic local cook prepared by Chef Wan.
I therefore had the tough job of sampling all the wonderful food prepared by the Chef. Ahh…The tough life of a Food Blogger ![]()
I definitely had great gastronomic fun at the Tupperware Party and many thanks to The Right Spin and Tupperware for inviting me!
