Hard Rock Hotel Penang
If you are looking for an affordable holiday destination for the whole extended family, you have got to visit Penang. And in terms of a really hip and fashionable place to stay in, you have to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Penang.
Just built 2 years ago, the Hard Rock Hotel is proving to be a really fun place for many families to make as their holiday base. Much thanks to Eliza from Hard Rock and Eunice from Travelerfolio, I got to experience the hospitality of the Hotel first hand.
With daily flights to Penang, we flew into Penang via Tiger Airways at an affordable cost of $157 per person. The Hotel can arrange transfers from the airport, and this service, gave the whole family a peace of mind, as we landed in a foreign land.
Arriving at the hotel, the kids were excited, and they couldn’t wait to discover their new home for the next 4 nights.
Now…it’s time to check out our rooms…
As you can see, the rooms are nice and cosy, with Icons of the Beatles and Guitars to remind you about the Hard Rock Theme.
The Best Part of the Hotel which the kids liked are the Water Slides! In fact, the kids wanted to go and play the slides everyday.
If you are looking for some couple time in Penang, one of the benefits of staying at Hard Rock is that there is a “Drop-off” centre for the kids. Kids have a play room, where there are supervised programs for the kids, such as water play and cake decoration.
For the older kids, there is also a Teens Room, where there are pool tables, video games and “FoosBall” tables.
And of course, if you are looking for their Hard Rock’s Signature Cafe and Rock memorabilia, you will not be disappointed with the hotel. Besides catching a glimpse of these prized items, you can also purchase a few souvenirs for yourself at the Rock Shop!

I stayed at the Hard Rock hotel too when I went to Penang last year. It’s a pity that my daughter was not so enthusiastic about the slides in the pool after she was scared by the sand at the beach. I enjoyed my stay there very much and would recommend it to my friends who are visiting Penang. Another hotel that’s highly recommended is the G hotel.
