CiNE65 Contest Winners

With the advent of the DSLR and technology, many people have taken to the streets to make their own short films. CiNE65 is the short film competition that allows for our film enthusiasts to exhibit their skills, and to let their productions touch the hearts and minds of Singaporeans.

This year’s theme is a 3 min film on “I’’ll be there for you, Singapore”, and with a “Student” and “Open” category, I was looking forward to see who was going to win this prestigious competition. Well, the results are out, and you can see the full list below.

After scanning through the videos, I think I will need to agree with the Jury. My Favourite video for the competition is definitely “Priceless”. Filmed by Kenny Tan, the short film brings one back to the time of “Kuti Kuti”.

Remember those erasers that you used to have with all the National Flags. I used to have tons of these erasers, with the names of my favourite Soccer Players written on them. From Chris Waddle to Glen Hoddle, these erasers were precious in my sight. The movie depicts what one must do, in order to stand up for what one values! It was definitely interesting to see how the plot evolved, with the surprising twist right at the end.
