Act 3: A Brow Bear, A Moon and a Caterpillar

Last weekend was a really exciting week for the kids!

We were invited to the Premiere of “A Brown Bear, A Moon, and a Caterpillar” by the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, Canada. Brought in by Act 3 International, this famous children’s theatre, once again introduced a production that really captivated the hearts of the 3-6yos present at the theatre.

If you have been reading children’s books within the last decade, you will definitely be familiar with books like “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?” and “The very hungry Caterpillar”. They are all famous children’s books written by Eric Carle! In fact, when the kids watched the show, it was like they were being transported back to their bedrooms, and watching their favourite stories come to life!

Using vibrant music and black light theatre, children will be memorized by the amazing puppetry, as their favourite stories are retold to them! My kids loved the stories and they were also fascinated by the fact that their clothes began to glow in the dark!

There was also a Questions and Answer time at the end of the show, and this really helped the kids understand how the “Magic” of the production was carried out! A big Thumbs up to theatre company for educating the kids on “How they did it!”,as the explanations really opened up the minds of the audience.  I definitely left the show more enriched after their explanations!
