AppJamming Camp by Paypal (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)
The September school holidays are coming and if you wondering how to occupy your child’s free time, do check out the AppJamming Camp by Paypal. This day camp will be running from 5-7 September at Paypal where kids aged 9-11yo can learn coding from the PayPal experts. If you want to expose your kids in a safe coding environment, this camp will be a great fit for your family.

Kids in Tech code camp is a fully sponsored event by Paypal Singapore. With a aim to get kids excited about technology, kids will get to explore technology through the program and as a result, they can find out more about the IT profession. Run by Sg Code Campus, the trainers will be have prior experience teaching children and therefore better able to instruct the kids.
Through the whole 3 days event, kids will go the building of a game in Scratch, where participants will learn how to formulate algorithms (chain tasks together to solve a problem), construct loops (computers are great at repetitive tasks so exploit that!) and rely on conditionals (enable computers to make decisions). They will then move on to explore these concepts through hardware, by building a series of projects using BBC’s Micro:bit.
Nicole went for the course last year and she enjoyed herself, as she learnt simple coding and made some new friends at the same time. Last year’s event was just open to girls but due to last year’s success, they have expanded the scope of the program to now include both boys and girls.
