The Lion King musical
Just last week, we happened to step into Marina Bay Sands, and we realized that their theatre was having an open house!
We got even more excited when we realized that the very first musical for Marina Bay theatre was going to be “The Lion King”
This musical is even more significant to us, as we last watched it in London, while we were on our honeymoon in 2001.
When it Opens in March 2011, it will be 10 years since we got married, and a milestone for the both of us! 🙂
Although, we have not bought tickets for the show yet, we were curious and excited to check out the new theatre at MBS.
To help visitors visualize the props and the grandeur of the drama, there were many screens around the atrium that showed the “making” of the musical and little models of the props as well.

I must say that the theatre is really modern, but it does lack the grandeur of the theatres in Europe. However, the kids were really excited about the prospect of watching “The Lion King”.
Not too sure whether I will bring them yet, as tickets are expensive.
