Barbie Celebrates 55 years (Giveaway)

Barbie is a name synonymous with Girls! Everyone knows who she is, and every boy as well! As every girl plays with Dolls while growing up, it is to no surprise that Barbie Dolls are always spotted in our house!

As Barbie Celebrates 55 years of imaginative play (Yes! It has been that long already), they have a new offering for the kids at home. Barbie has launched the NEW Barbie® Iron-On Style™ doll, that helps promote creative play and great bonding opportunity between parent and daughter.

When the Barbie Dolls arrived at the house, my 2 girls were so excited. They kept on calling Daddy, and asked when I was coming home! When they opened the package, and they saw the dolls for themselves, they went like “Waaaaa, so cool!” Barbie seems to be able to cast a spell on the hearts of my young girls!

This Barbie is a definite Plus for your Fashionista at home! Being a Girl is all about style, and your little Princess gets to be the designer with the Barbie Iron-on style Doll. Girls get to select the prints from a 32 piece decal wardrobe, “iron” with a no-heat iron, and fully decorate the new top, skirt and Denim vest.

As I opened up the box,  the kids adored the prints and the possibilities which they found in the box. We imagined Barbie going for an Outing with Ken for her Prom Night or an Outing to the Singapore Zoo. My 5 year old also exercised her motor skills by cutting out the prints and “ironing” the prints onto the designs we chose. This was definitely more productive, compared to playing computer games and their iPads.  It was a great time of bonding for us, as they had to teach the fashion “misfit” Daddy, how to dress up for important occasions. Definitely a great tool for family bonding and stretching their imagination at the same time.

As I am writing this review, the Kids have been “bugging” me to leave my pc for more Dress up Barbie Time! Looks like Daddy has got to become Ken and entertain the girls!
